36. Digital minimalism

I really enjoyed this one. Usually books dealing with our relationships with technology do a good job on taking about how bad social media is, but don’t give a lot of useful advice beyond ‘turn off alerts’ or something shallow like that. This one had a lot of good advice for how to deal with the psychological and social ramifications. Will def use some of these tactics and probably read this again.

34. The City of Brass

Unfortunately a trilogy. I still enjoyed it though, maybe a bit long, but great setting and some interesting drama. Hard to follow the mythology at times.

31. Subprime Attention Crisis

A good overview of the digital advertising industry, how it came to be like it is and how it’s poised for a mortgage crisis level bubble pop.

26. Can’t Even

Well researched explanation of why millennials are the way they are. A little bit dire, but a good, informative read.

23. Slippery Creatures

Misremembered this book when I picked it up again but was pleasantly surprised. Good characters, tight plot, a bit saucy. And apparently the trilogy was written in quarantine?! Show off.

22. Underland

Really good. I would have appreciated more tree chapters but guess mountaineering is more his thing.

17. A Peculiar Peril

Too long. Way too long and a series?! Come on. Save your time and reach a Terry Pratchet novel instead.
